The Dutch Experience.jpg

Duration: 3-4 hours (depending on group size)

On this Classic Dutch tour, we'll stroll through Amsterdam hitting all our favorite and best locations to get traditional Dutch snacks and drinks. There will be 8 stops in total — mostly food but also a stopover at the best bar for top-quality Dutch beer and jenever.

A very common question is: "What is Dutch food?" The simple answer: they eat a bit of sweet, a bit of savory, and of course, anything deep-fried served with beer. Together we’ll explore a variety of well-known and lesser known Dutch foods, snacks and drinks.

Come hungry — leave satisfied.

County Bike Tour.jpg

Duration ± 5

A short ferry ride and an easy 20-minute cycle through the north of the city and we’ll reach the Waterlands, the countryside just outside of Amsterdam. Soon it’s cows and farmers’ signs offering up freshly made ice-cream and milk.

Because the Netherlands is relatively flat, one does not need to be in top shape to partake. Even so, we’ll bike roughly 25km and if you are not used to cycling, you may feel it a bit the following day.

We'll discuss water and land management, see an old-school windmill, explain why the Dutch are so bike-crazed and how they used these paths during the Second World War in search of the goods they needed to survive. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way as we cruise through a few villages and stop for a beverage along the Ijsselmeer. Since we'll spend most of our time outside the city, the stress of biking in Amsterdam will be minimized.

This tour was designed with a little of everything in mind. Equal parts history, food and drink. We’ll grab bikes and head towards one of the independent breweries in town conveniently located near a classic Dutch windmill. While we’re there we’ll have a chance to sample a local brew and grab some tasty snacks. From there we’ll explore some of the city, stopping for some more food along the way. We’ll round off the whole experience back where we started, which is conveniently located next to another fantastic Amsterdam brewery.
